AvtoVAZ expressed hope for an increase in car sales in April

AvtoVAZ expects that car sales in April will be higher than in March. This was announced on April 1 by the head of the car company Maxim Sokolovt.

"We usually form it in the first week. We hope that it will be more than in March," Sokolov said at the International Transport and Logistics Forum, his words are reported by TASS.

Earlier, Sokolov shared that by the end of March AvtoVAZ predicts sales at the level of 27 thousand Lada cars, which is about 6 thousand cars more than in February. As the head of the company noted, the market is more active in March than in February, and it is gradually "coming out of hibernation."

The results of new car sales in Russia in March have not yet been published. In total, by the end of February 2026, 80 thousand new passenger cars were sold in Russia, which is 2.5% more than in February 2025. Lada became the leader in the brand rating in terms of the volume of cars sold, despite a decrease in sales to 19 thousand cars. It accounted for about a quarter of the market at the end of winter.
