- Sobyanin announced the commissioning of the first section of the Rublyovo-Arkhangelskaya line
The completion of the construction of the first section of the Rublyovo-Arkhangelskaya metro line is scheduled for 2026, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said on his channel at the MAX. At the moment, specialists are completing the construction of the Narodnoe Opolchenie station.
The launch of the first section of the Rublyovo-Arkhangelskaya metro line will accelerate movement around the city for more than 550 thousand people, Sobyanin noted. Trips will become more comfortable for residents of five districts: Presnensky, Khoroshevo-Mnevniki, Shchukino, Dorogomilovo, Filevsky Park. Passengers will be able to transfer from the new branch to the Moscow Central Ring (MCC) and Solntsevskaya, Filevskaya metro and BKL lines.
In general, the new branch line will improve transport services for almost 1 million residents of seven districts of the city, Sobyanin recalled. "It will be freer on Rublevskoye and Novorizhskoye highways, Marshal Zhukov Avenue," the head of the Russian capital emphasized.
Speaking about the construction of the Narodnoe Opolchenie station, the mayor of Moscow noted that monolithic works have been completed at the site and the main structures are ready. The equipment is currently being installed and finished. It is expected that after the opening, the station will be used by about 12 thousand passengers per day, and by 2030 — up to 14 thousand.
The new metro line will stretch from the Moscow City business center to Rublyovo-Arkhangelsky beyond the MKAD and further to Krasnogorsk, with 12 stations located on it. The branch line will allow for transfers to the MCC, Solntsevskaya, Filevskaya, Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya and Bolshaya Koltsevaya metro lines.
