All US statements are instruments of blackmail, which should lead to the creation of new conditions that bring profit to Americans or at least reduce costs. This opinion was expressed by political scientist Alexander Asafov on Wednesday, April 1, commenting on the possible collapse of NATO.

According to the expert, it is quite possible to talk about the collapse of the North Atlantic Alliance: if the Americans do not achieve their goals, then this can happen.

"But for now, this is direct and indirect pressure on its allies to reduce its own costs, which are quite high, and create space for additional profits. And whether it comes from oil, from the sale of weapons, from obtaining some resources, the introduction of new duties or investments in NATO from the allies is the second question," Asafov said in a conversation with Lenta.Ru .

The political scientist added that it is important to create a request for any sale. Therefore, by creating an alarming feeling about the country's imminent withdrawal from NATO, Washington is implementing the very request that will later be monetized by the Americans in one form or another, Asafov stressed.
