April tours to Maldives and China have fallen in price

The cost of April tours to the Maldives, Vietnam, China and Turkey has fallen in price compared to a year ago. This was announced by the press service of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) on Wednesday, April 1.

"The average check for an April tour to Vietnam decreased by 19% over the year (to 199,450 rubles for two), to the Maldives — by 24% (to 317,900 rubles), to Turkey — by 4.2% (to 151 thousand 400 rubles). China has also become more affordable on average (minus 10%, to 194,500 rubles), and Abkhazia — by 12.2% (to 64,600 rubles)," the Moscow City News agency quotes the message.

At the same time, ATOR added that an increase in the price of the average check for an April tour to Egypt and Thailand is being recorded.

"The strongest growth in the average bill was recorded in Indonesia (plus 50.7% — up to 240 thousand 900 rubles) and Sri Lanka‑Sri Lanka (plus 34.6% — up to 258 thousand 950 rubles) — but this is not due to prices, but to the lack of cheap Middle Eastern connections and the growing interest in more expensive direct flights," the association concluded.

Tez Tour Commercial Director Voskan Arzumanov told NSN on March 25 that the demand for tours to Egypt has been stable and remains.

On March 19, ATOR reported that some hotels in Turkey offer Russian tourists discounts of up to 50% on accommodation. At the same time, the organization stressed that such proposals are not widespread.
