Moscow calls on Paris to immediately release Russian citizen Anna Novikova, founder of the SOS Donbass association for assistance to residents of Donbass. This was announced on April 1 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

"We appeal to the French authorities to immediately release Anna Novikova. We insist that the repression against individuals whose entire fault lies in expressing opinions that do not coincide with the official version of Paris should be stopped immediately," Zakharova said at a briefing.

According to her, European countries need to stop persecuting people who tell the truth about the crimes of the Kiev regime.

Last year, on December 13, Novikova told how police officers with machine guns broke into her early in the morning, took her out with a bag over her head and interrogated her for several days for several hours. It is clarified that the detention of three members of the SOS Donbass association for assistance to residents of Donbass, including Russian citizen Anna Novikova, was reported by the newspaper Le Parisien on November 25. Together with her, Frenchman Vincent P. and Ukrainian citizen Vyacheslav P. were detained.
