Samara regional court sentenced a teenager to six years in a penal colony for treason

The Samara Regional Court sentenced a minor local resident to six years in prison in a case of high treason. This was announced on April 1 by the court's press service.

The investigation found that the teenager acted in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). In the period from September 14 to September 21, 2024, he collected and transmitted photographs of administrative buildings in Syzran to a foreign representative.

"The convict was sentenced to six years in prison to be served in a correctional colony of general regime, with the confiscation of funds received as a result of the crime," the Telegram channel said.

A criminal case has been initiated under Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("High treason"), and the penalty is imprisonment for a term of six to 10 years.

On the same day, a military court sentenced a Russian woman who raised funds for the Armed Forces to 22 years in prison. The convict also posted calls for activities against Russia's security on her social media pages. The court found her guilty of treason.
