The completion of the liberation of the Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) was an important administrative and ideological victory, opening up new opportunities for further military operations in the Donbas. A former special forces officer, retired Colonel Anatoly Matviychuk, told Izvestia about this on April 1.

According to him, the liberation of the LPR can be considered as an important administrative and ideological victory.

"I believe that as a result of this maneuver, some units will be released, which will be deployed to the Donetsk front and will contribute to the capture and destruction of the enemy in the area of Kramatorsk and Slavyansk," he said.

In addition, the expert stressed that the liberation of the LPR would open up opportunities for maneuvers to cover the enemy's flank in the Yuzhnodonetsky operational area.

Military expert, retired Colonel Viktor Nikolaevich Litovkin, in a conversation with Izvestia, noted that the completion of the liberation of the Luhansk People's Republic is an important stage in the operation aimed at the complete liberation of the territory.

"We are fulfilling the tasks that the President and the Supreme Commander-in-Chief have set for the Armed Forces. Our army, if we talk about strategic advantages, our army demonstrates its power, its efficiency, its effectiveness," he concluded.

On the same day, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced the completion of the liberation of the Lugansk People's Republic (LNR). The ministry clarified that during the day, the fighters of the Russian Armed Forces also defeated the manpower and equipment of five mechanized and two air defense brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported on March 27 that the military personnel of the Zapad group of forces over the past week, from the 21st to the 27th, managed to improve their tactical position in the area of the special military operation (SVO).
