Units of the Zapad group of forces have completed the liberation of the LPR

Military personnel of the Zapad group of Forces of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have completed the liberation of the Luhansk People's Republic (LNR). This was announced on Wednesday, April 1, by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

"Units of the Zapad group of forces have completed the liberation of the Luhansk People's Republic," the ministry said in a statement.

The losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) included more than 170 military personnel, an infantry fighting vehicle, an armored personnel carrier, two Cossack armored fighting vehicles, 16 vehicles, six field artillery guns and an ammunition depot.

The soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces, as emphasized in the text, defeated the manpower and equipment of five mechanized and two air defense brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Russian soldiers also hit the security brigade of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
