Over the past day, 204 road accidents have occurred on Russian roads, in which 23 people were killed and 242 injured. 18 of the dead were drivers and passengers. This was reported to Izvestia on April 1 by the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

In Vladikavkaz, a 75-year-old crossover driver at an unregulated intersection did not provide an advantage in traffic and collided with a car moving along the main road, driven by a 30-year-old motorist. The driver of the second passenger car and his passenger were injured in the accident, and they were sent for outpatient treatment with their injuries.

In Tyumen, a 38-year-old female passenger car driver collided with two other passenger cars traveling in front of her in the evening, as a result of which the 37-year-old driver of one of them was sent for outpatient treatment after medical treatment.

18 accidents involving buses were recorded, in which one person was killed, and 35 more road users, including one child, needed medical help. Half of the bus accidents were caused by traffic violations committed by drivers of other vehicles.

As a result of 63 accidents, 26 of which occurred at pedestrian crossings and 37 outside their area of operation, five pedestrians were killed, and another 60 were injured in various degrees of severity. Among the injured were 16 underage pedestrians, 10 of whom were injured when crossing the roadway outside the designated areas. 38 accidents involving minors were also registered, in which 45 young road users, including 22 passengers, were injured. There are no dead children.

The State Traffic Inspectorate urged drivers to strictly observe traffic regulations and be more careful on the roads of settlements and cities. People driving should take special care when passing unregulated intersections, as well as approaching pedestrian crossings, slowing down in front of them until they come to a complete stop in order to allow pedestrians crossing the roadway.

"In addition, we remind motorists that the life and health of their passengers depend entirely on the skills, driving experience, well-being and law-abiding behavior behind the wheel. Avoid risky driving, speeding, sudden lane changes, overtaking, and other dangerous maneuvers. We also draw the attention of drivers to the strict observance of the rules for transporting children. Take care of your young passengers, preventing even the prerequisites for a possible tragedy," said Police Colonel Anton Belan, deputy head of the Department for the Promotion of road Safety and prevention of child traffic injuries at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

According to operational data from the State Traffic Inspectorate, over the past first month of spring, 427 accidents involving underage passengers under the age of 16 occurred on Russian roads, in which 11 died and 502 children and adolescents from this category of road users were injured.

The day before, it was reported that the Chinese Haval Jolion crossover turned out to be the most emergency vehicle in Russia. This model is the leader in the rating in terms of the totality of motor insurance claims. Such data was provided by the National Insurance Information System (NSIS).
