Thick fog on the ring Road in St. Petersburg in the early morning caused 7 accidents involving 18 cars, the directorate of the Complex of Protective Structures (KZS) reports.
"8:40 a.m. – 9:20 a.m. in conditions of insufficient visibility (thick fog), 7 accidents involving 18 cars occurred on the 134–135km section of the inner ring of the A-118 federal highway (Ring Road of St. Petersburg). Information about the participants of the accident and the victims is being clarified. One lane is available for driving," reads the message posted on the KZS website.
The KZS added that emergency services and traffic police were already working at the scene, and drivers were advised to choose alternative routes.
Izvestia reported on March 31 about an accident that occurred in the west of Moscow. Two Range Rover and Dodge passenger cars collided on Kutuzovsky Prospekt. There are two injured. After being examined by doctors, both refused to be hospitalized.
