It is not difficult to get a tax deduction for the provision of medical services today, and this is used by the organizers of criminal schemes. They involve acquaintances and relatives who are interested in making illegal profits in their activities. This opinion was expressed in an interview with Izvestia by Alexandra Pozharskaya, deputy head of the project of the Popular Front For Borrowers' Rights, expert of the Moshelovka platform.

"Since the simplified procedure for obtaining deductions through the taxpayer's personal account provides for the provision of scanned copies, it is not always possible to establish their authenticity in time. This is what unscrupulous citizens use," she explained.

However, the disclosure of such crimes occurs quite quickly, the expert emphasized. According to law enforcement statistics, more than 95% of offenders are brought to justice in accordance with the degree of participation in the criminal scheme and the amount of damage caused.

"For the organizers of such schemes, the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation provides for terms of up to 10 years in prison and heavy fines," the source warned.
