Blogger Valeria Chekalina, known as Lercek, was suspected of simulating cancer. The reason for suspicion was eyewitness accounts contradicting reports of severe complications and difficulties in movement. All the details are in the Izvestia article.

Suspicion of disease simulation

Messages appeared on social networks questioning the severity of Lercek's condition, the newspaper reported.Ru». Blogger Inna Kombarova wrote in her Telegram channel that her friend saw Chekalina in the gym and sauna just a few days ago. The author of the publication expressed concern that such situations could denigrate the healthcare system.

"I don't want to push it, but my friend caught Lercek in training three days ago. And here I am defending the healthcare system, which saves me and millions of people in our country. I would not like to see her denigrated," wrote Kombarova.

Closing of the bankruptcy case

On March 31, the Moscow Arbitration Court decided to terminate the bankruptcy proceedings against Valeria Chekalina. The reason was the full repayment of debts owed to the tax authorities. At the meeting, the blogger's lawyer submitted documents confirming the transfer of 176 million rubles to the tax account, which fully covered and even exceeded the stated requirements of the Federal Tax Service.

Earlier, the tax service estimated the amount of Chekalina's debt at about 173 million rubles. The court noted that the funds were received from a third party, but Valeria's representative refused to specify who exactly made the payment. The blogger's fiance, Luis Squicciarini, later denied the information about outside help, saying that she had handled the payment on her own.

"The debt to the tax service has been repaid. Not by anyone, but by yourself," Luis Squicciarini wrote briefly on his personal blog.

Health status and course of treatment

Valeria Chekalina is undergoing treatment for cancer. According to Luis Squicciarini, she has already postponed the first session and immunotherapy, and there are nine stages planned in total. The disease caused complications: the blogger completely lost sight in her right eye and has trouble walking, although after radiation therapy, the pain in her leg became less pronounced.

Recently, the blogger underwent a medical procedure to install a venous port in the neck, which is necessary for the administration of drugs. Chekalina called this process painful, but noted her willingness to fight the disease. In between procedures, she left the clinic for a short time to celebrate the fourth birthday of her son Lev.

"I'm ready. On alert. Now they will install a port in the neck. I will be like a female transformer," Valeria Chekalina said.

Difficulties with medical care

Chekalina links the late detection of the disease with the restrictions that were in effect during the investigation. According to her, she could not visit specialized specialists and was forced to apply only to state medical institutions at the place of detention. In Istra, where she was staying, the medical infrastructure was insufficient to make a diagnosis.

The blogger submitted a statement demanding to check the actions of the police officers. She claims that during her house arrest, she was denied permission to visit doctors. In response to these claims, the Moscow Ministry of Internal Affairs clarified that there was no complete ban on assistance, but applications for visits to private clinics were rejected twice.

Ex-husband's position

Artem Chekalin, Chekalina's ex-husband, admitted that the treatment of Patients requires huge financial costs. He wished Valeria well, noting that now she needs funds both for medicine and for the maintenance of her family. Artyom also mentioned the blogger's mother's new business, expressing the hope that it would help the family cope with the financial burden.
