- The media reported the shutdown of the new Ukrainian social network YEDNA due to a hacker attack
The new Ukrainian social network YEDNA stopped working a day after the official launch due to a hacker attack. This was reported on April 1 by Russian hackers PalachPro and Noname057(16).
"After seeing the announcement and the launch of a new "independent" Ukrainian social network, we successfully attempted a cyberattack," the hackers told RIA Novosti.
As a result of the DDoS attack, they managed to completely disable the API of the social network, which led to its blocking and the inability of users to access it.
The hackers also added that they intend to continue their impact on YEDNA's network resources over the next few days, setting as their ultimate goal the complete elimination of the new software product.
On March 31, the Cyber Sickle group of pro-Russian hackers reported that a phishing message on behalf of the CERT-UA rapid response team for computer incidents in Ukraine helped hack more than 200,000 Ukrainian computers. At the same time, they noted that ordinary residents of Ukraine would not suffer in any way as a result of hacking.
