Rubio criticized NATO for its unilateral approach in the military sphere

The refusal of some European countries to provide the United States with their own bases for conducting operations against Iran demonstrated NATO's unilateral approach to ensuring the mutual security of the participating countries. "If we have reached a point where the NATO alliance means that we cannot use these bases, when in fact we can no longer use them to protect America's interests, then NATO is a one—way street," he said in an interview with Fox News.
