- The Russian Foreign Ministry warned of Kiev's attempts to delay the delivery time for Druzhba
Ukraine, with the connivance of the leadership of the European Union (EU), will try to delay the resumption of the Druzhba pipeline as long as possible. This was announced on April 1 by Oleg Tyapkin, Director of the third European Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
"Everything indicates that the Ukrainian authorities, with the connivance of the European bureaucrats, will try to delay the return of the pipeline to operation as much as possible," he told RIA Novosti.
The diplomat stressed that the suspension of Druzhba supplies had already led to economic difficulties for Slovakia and Hungary.
Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico said on March 28 that Slovakia would not support the 20th package of EU sanctions against Russia if the position of the European Commission (EC) remained on Ukraine's side on oil issues, namely on the situation with the blocked Druzhba oil pipeline.
The American Thinker magazine reported on March 27 that Ukraine has launched an economic and energy war against Slovakia and Hungary, which, in turn, are members of the EU and the North Atlantic Alliance. It was emphasized that the President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, does not intend to restore the blocked Druzhba pipeline, on which both Bratislava and Budapest depend.
