In Europe, they declared it impossible for Ukraine to obtain nuclear weapons

Ukraine does not have the opportunity to obtain nuclear weapons due to the lack of the necessary trust in its leadership. This statement was made on April 1 by MEP Fernand Kartheiser.

"Ukraine needs to make it clear that it will not be able to access nuclear weapons. Such a development would be unacceptable not only for Russia, but also for many other states. The Ukrainian authorities in no way enjoy the necessary trust to be entrusted with weapons of such power," he told RIA Novosti.
