For the first time, GOST for educational equipment has been approved in Russia

Rosstandart has approved the first GOST for educational equipment, the requirements of which will become effective from June this year. This became known on April 1 from the relevant document.

"GOST has become the first comprehensive national standard that systematically regulates the safety of educational equipment in the Russian education system. For the first time, safety requirements have been introduced for educational equipment — devices, models and demonstration products used in the educational process," Rosstandart commented.

GOST sets requirements for the strength, stability, fire and hygienic safety of a variety of educational equipment: from laboratory kits and educational and production machines to digital laboratories, interactive complexes and VR installations, RIA Novosti reports.
