The State Duma proposed to approve the day of unmanned aircraft on November 12.
In the State Duma, deputies from the Communist Party faction with party leader Gennady Zyuganov proposed on April 1 to consider a bill according to which the Day of Unmanned Aircraft will be approved on November 12.
Amendments may be made to Article 11 of the federal law "On Days of Military Glory and Memorable Dates of Russia." The day was not chosen by chance — on November 12, 2025, troops of unmanned systems were created in Russia.
"There are thousands of enthusiasts for the development of unmanned aircraft in Russia right now — designers, engineers, workers making UAVs [unmanned aerial vehicles], public figures delivering them to the front. It would be right if all these people had their own holiday. It will also draw the attention of our society to the development of unmanned aircraft," said Yuri Afonin, first deputy chairman of the Central Committee of the party, in an interview with TASS.
