Starting in April 2026, social pensions will be indexed by 6.8% in Russia. Vadim Vinogradov, Dean of the HSE Faculty of Law, told about this on April 1.
"Starting from April 1, all types of social pensions will be indexed by 6.8%. The increase is automatic — you do not need to apply to the Social Fund or submit additional documents," he told the Prime agency.
At the same time, it is worth considering an important feature: if the pensioner's income is below the subsistence level in the region, payments will be increased to this value.
