The Russian Foreign Ministry assessed the current course of negotiations on Ukraine

Due to the escalation in the Middle East, negotiations between Russia, the United States and Ukraine on a settlement are "on pause." This was announced on April 1 by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin.

"In recent months, several rounds of trilateral negotiations have taken place in the Russia—USA—Ukraine format to find ways to resolve the Ukrainian crisis politically and diplomatically. Negotiations are still on hold amid the US-Israeli aggression against Iran. We proceed from the fact that we are ready to continue discussions," he told TASS in an interview on the sidelines of the Russian-Uzbek conference of the Valdai Club and the Institute for Strategic and Interregional Studies under the President of Uzbekistan.
