A Russian living in Australia crossed the border due to nostalgia for the Russian Federation

A Russian citizen living in Australia illegally crossed the state border between Russia and Finland in Karelia due to nostalgia for his native country. This was announced on March 31 by the press service of the United Press Service of the Courts of Karelia in the MAX messenger.

"A citizen of the Russian Federation has been living in Australia since 2023, where he was taken as a minor. Throughout the time, he was haunted by the thought of returning to Russia <...>. The verdict of the Kostomuksha city court imposed a fine on the man," the publication says.
