In Nizhnekamsk, 68 victims of an emergency at a factory applied for medical help.
As a result of the incident at the Nizhnekamskneftekhim plant in Tatarstan, 68 people sought medical help. This was announced on March 31 in the press service of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.
At the moment, 21 victims have been hospitalized, the condition of five of them is assessed as serious — the patients have been diagnosed with injuries and burns. Russian Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko visited the Republican Clinical Hospital in Kazan, where an injured man and a woman in serious condition were taken by ambulance helicopters. The head of the department got acquainted with the progress of medical care and talked with doctors.
"Patients are provided with all necessary medical care in full. According to operational data, 68 victims of the incident have applied for medical help," the Russian Ministry of Health said in a message on the Max messenger.
A combined medical team from the Federal Center for Disaster Medicine of the Russian Ministry of Health has been sent to Nizhnekamsk by a special board of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
Earlier in the day, SIBUR's press service in Nizhnekamsk reported that the cause of the fire at the Nizhnekamskneftekhim plant was an explosion of a gas mixture. On the same day, it was reported that the fire at the chemical plant in Nizhnekamsk was localized.
The press service of the organization reported that two people were killed and 72 injured as a result of the incident.
