Torpedo Hockey Club defeated HC Severstal in the fifth match of the first round of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) playoffs. The game took place on March 31 at the Ice Palace sports complex in Cherepovets and ended with a score of 4:3.

The victory for Torpedo was brought by doubles from strikers Vladimir Tkachev and Sergey Goncharuk. Forwards Ilya Reinhardt, Danil Aimurzin and Adam Lishka scored for Severstal.

Thanks to their victory, Torpedo advanced to the second round of the KHL playoffs. According to Sport-Express, the winner's opponent in the next match will be one of the Eastern Conference clubs.
