The Social Fund indexed pensions of about 4 million people
Since April 1, the Social Fund has increased state pensions, including social ones, which are indexed annually in April. Pensioners did not need to apply anywhere or apply for this. The indexation was carried out according to the level of increase in the pensioner's subsistence level over the past year and amounted to 6.8%.
"The Social Fund is carrying out another increase in payments this year, which affects about 4 million pensioners, including 3.5 million recipients of social pensions. They are assigned to people with disabilities, children with disabilities, and children who have lost a parent. The increase also applies to individual participants in the Great Patriotic War, including residents of besieged Leningrad, residents of besieged Sevastopol and residents of besieged Stalingrad," said Sergey Chirkov, Chairman of the Social Fund of Russia.
He noted that the Social Fund conducts them openly, without requiring any appeals from pensioners, and payments to all recipients will come in April at the usual time, but in a higher amount.
Since this month, the Social Fund has also increased the care payment, which is set for state pensions for people 80 years and older, as well as for people with disabilities of the first group.
It is specified that the actual amount of the increase as a result of the increase for each pensioner depends on the individual amount of payments. There are no changes to the pension delivery schedule due to the indexation.
On March 2, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin recalled that the indexation of social pensions starting in April would affect people with disabilities, orphaned children, people who have lost a breadwinner, as well as those who do not have work experience or are not enough to receive an insurance pension.
