A farewell ceremony was held in the Lebanese city of Saida for Al Mayadeen TV channel correspondent Fatima Ftouni and reporter Ali Shuaib, who died as a result of an Israeli strike in the line of professional duty. The TV channel shared footage from the scene on March 31 with Izvestia.

In the videos filmed in Side, hundreds of people took to the streets with portraits of journalists. The funeral ceremony was attended by residents of the city and colleagues of the victims.

"The journalists gathered in the city of Saida in southern Lebanon to honor the memory of their fallen colleagues and declare their intention to continue their professional activities, despite the continuing risks and losses," said correspondent Khaled Khalil.

One of the protesters said that Israel is afraid of these media outlets and seeks to limit their influence. Another noted that the memory of the dead journalists will be preserved. According to eyewitnesses, the ceremony was an expression of support and solidarity that goes beyond the borders of one country.

Hundreds of people came to the funeral of journalists killed as a result of the Israeli strike on southern Lebanon on March 29 to say goodbye. Those who came to honor the memory of the journalists carried the bodies of the dead in their arms. People also held flowers and photos of media staff.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
