After the completion of the US operation in Iran, the Strait of Hormuz will open automatically. This was announced on March 31 by the American leader Donald Trump.

"I think it will open automatically. <...> They have no strength left," Trump said in an interview with The New York Post.

He also noted that the conflict in Iran will not last long. According to him, the US army is close to "completely destroying" all targets in the Islamic Republic, although "there is still work to destroy their offensive potential."

On the same day, the representative of the central headquarters of the Iranian armed forces, Khatam al-Anbiya, Ebrahim Zolfagari, said that the United States would never be able to establish control over the Strait of Hormuz. He called the actions of the United States and Israel a strategic mistake, which, in his words, "humiliated them and put them on the path of destruction."

On March 30, Alaeddin Boroujerdi, a member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Iranian Parliament, said that the Majlis may soon adopt a law on the introduction of fees for the passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz. According to him, the provision of security and services to the vessels will be carried out at the expense of the provided fees.
