Moscow launches production of medicines for 13 types of cancer

Technopolis Moscow, a resident of the SEZ, has launched the production of medicines for the treatment of 13 types of cancer, Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said in the MAX messenger.

According to him, the drug is intended for patients who have been diagnosed, including melanoma and lung cancer.

"The uniqueness of the drug is that it helps the human immune system to recognize and destroy cancer cells on its own," Sobyanin explained.

The drug was included in the clinical recommendations of the Russian Ministry of Health and in the list of essential medicines. Deliveries to the capital's hospitals will begin soon. The medicine will be produced under an offset contract with the city.

The mayor stressed that Moscow actively supports projects in the pharmaceutical industry. The status of a resident of a special economic zone gives companies the opportunity to receive tax benefits. They invest the money they save in new developments.
