The Commission of the Security Council of the Russian Federation made recommendations on the development of the sphere of rare metals

The need for accelerated development of the rare and rare earth metals industry is increasing. This was announced on March 31 by the press service of the Russian Security Council following a meeting of the interdepartmental commission on environmental safety.

"It was noted that in the context of the global economy's transition to a new technological order and sharply intensified international competition for access to rare and rare earth metals, the need for accelerated development of this industry is significantly increasing in order to ensure the needs of the national economy and the country's defense capability," the report says.

In addition, following the meeting of the commission, recommendations were made on the implementation of additional organizational and regulatory measures in the area under consideration.
