The Social Fund will begin transferring payments to veterans by Victory Day in April.

In April, the Social Fund of Russia will begin transferring an annual payment to participants and invalids of the Great Patriotic War by May 9. This was announced on March 31 by Sergey Chirkov, Chairman of the foundation.

"Starting from April 3, veterans will begin to receive funds together with their pensions and other monthly Social Fund transfers. The annual payment for Victory Day is set for special categories of veterans, who are also guaranteed special pension benefits by the state," Chirkov explained.

According to him, neither the veterans themselves nor their relatives need to apply anywhere or submit applications — the payment will be transferred in April or May based on the data available to the fund. All the preliminary work on clarifying the lists of recipients and financing the delivery organizations has already been carried out.

According to the presidential decree, the payment is 10 thousand rubles and is provided to those who took direct part in the fighting of the Great Patriotic War. Veterans who live not only in Russia, but also in the Baltic states — Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania - have the right to it.
