A press conference was held in Moscow on the accident on the Express-AT1 satellite and the elimination of its consequences for viewers, the Tricolor press service reported.

The event was attended by Maxim Lovushkin, Director of the Tricolor Satellite Broadcasting Department, Evgeny Zryumov, Minister of Digital Development and Communications of the Altai Territory, and Maxim Sadikov, Minister of Digital Development and Communications of the Kemerovo Region — Kuzbass. The speakers discussed measures to restore broadcasting.

According to Maxim Lovushkin, Tricolor began transferring customers to the Express-AMU1 satellite from the very first day, on which broadcasting remained stable and uninterrupted.

"Today, about 90% of Tricolor's customers receive a signal from Express-AMU1. For regions outside the coverage area of this satellite, Tricolor launched broadcasting from a new spacecraft at a position of 75 degrees east longitude on March 17 as part of the Tricolor Federal project. Previously, the launch of broadcasting on this satellite was planned for the third quarter of 2026. To connect to this satellite, customers need to rotate the antenna and reconfigure the equipment. You can do this yourself using our instructions or leave a request. To date, we have processed over 70,000 applications, and there are about 100,000 more in the queue," Lovushkin said.

The press conference also discussed possible solutions that need to be taken to avoid similar incidents in the future. The panelists answered questions from journalists regarding the backup of satellites and the launch of their own spacecraft.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
