The Moscow Regional Court has sentenced members of the organized criminal group Konstantin Piskarev, nicknamed Kostya Bolshoy, to terms ranging from 8 years and 9 months to life imprisonment. This was reported on March 31 by a correspondent of Izvestia.

The leader of the organized criminal group, Kostya Bolshoy, was sentenced to life in prison. Sergei Alexandrov was sentenced to 24 years in prison, Sergei Barabashkin — to 11, and Yuri Berezhnov — to 15. Alexander Zamyatin will serve a sentence of 9 years and 3 months, and Damir Kapkov — 12 years. Andrey Stolyarov was sentenced to 13 years in prison, Dmitry Yurov — 17 years, and Nikolai Yurov — 8 years and 9 months in prison.

Depending on their role in the organized crime group, they were accused of banditry, illegal trafficking of weapons and explosives, attempted murder and numerous reprisals.

Piskarev's defense argued that he was a successful businessman who had been defamed and had not committed the crimes imputed to him.

"The preliminary investigation authorities tell us about 21 murders. And how many bodies were found? No corpses have been found, no burial sites have been found," said lawyer Irina Zykova.

In 2022, Piskarev and eight of his accomplices refused to fully admit their guilt in banditry, murder, kidnapping and illegal arms trafficking. However, according to investigators, Piskarev has committed 21 murders since the mid-1990s. However, the bodies of some of the victims have not yet been found.
