The maximum cost of accommodation amounted to 1 million 378 thousand rubles for 10 days of stay of two employees in Abu Dhabi, and the cost of air travel to Brazil reached almost 2 million rubles, analysts of the OneTwoTrip for Business travel service said.
"The first quarter of the year is traditionally not considered the peak season for business tourism, but we are already recording record receipts — accommodation in Abu Dhabi has exceeded 1.3 million rubles, and the cost of a flight to Brazil has approached 2 million," said the head of the company Stepan Mastryukov.
The maximum cost of accommodation abroad in early 2026 amounted to 1 million 378 thousand rubles. A fabric manufacturing company has accommodated two employees for 10 days in a five-star hotel in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The price also included two meals a day.
"The second place was taken by a business trip to Paris, France. The company, a wholesale supplier of beverages, booked accommodation for two employees in a hotel without stars for six nights with breakfast, the amount amounted to 1 million 37 thousand rubles," the analysts noted.
The third place went to a business trip to Doha, Qatar. The machinery and equipment wholesale company organized a six-day stay in a five-star hotel for 1 million 26 thousand rubles for six employees.
Rostov-on-Don is the leader among Russian destinations, where the film production company spent 396 thousand rubles for nine nights for five employees in a four-star hotel without meals.
It is noted that the most expensive ticket in the first quarter of 2026 was purchased for nine employees of an agricultural machinery company. The flight from Moscow to Sao Paulo and back cost 1 million 998 thousand rubles. The second place was taken by a flight from Moscow to Amsterdam for three employees of a pharmaceutical company, which cost 1 million 170 thousand rubles.
"The third place is for the flight from St. Petersburg to Dhaka. Nine employees of the construction and installation company went on a business trip in economy class, the order amount was 1 million 97 thousand rubles (tickets were issued only one way)," the analysts concluded.
On March 31, Tatiana Nemykina, tourism manager at the travel agency "TouRexpert", said that against the background of geopolitical instability and restrictions on flights to the Middle East, Russians are increasingly choosing alternative vacation destinations. According to her, the demand for trips to Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan for the May holidays increased by 35% compared to the same period last year.
