- Iran announced a significant reduction in the discount on oil in the context of the conflict
Iran has reduced the discount on its oil shipments, as a result of which the price of it has increased significantly. This was announced on March 31 by the Minister of Oil of the Islamic Republic, Mohsen Paknejad.
"In the field of oil sales, discounts have decreased significantly. Also, the average selling price has increased significantly," Paknejad is quoted as saying on his Telegram channel.
The head of the department also assured that there are no problems with providing fuel inside the country.
"The necessary measures have been taken in this area, and people can rest assured that there will be no problems," he added.
Spartak Sobolev, head of Investment strategy research at Alfa-Forex, said on March 27 that prices on the global oil market slowed down after US President Donald Trump announced the suspension of strikes on Iran's energy infrastructure. According to him, information stuffing about a possible US ground operation supports oil prices above $100 per barrel of Brent. In case of further escalation of the conflict, quotations may rise to the range of $ 115-120 per barrel.
