A village in Buryatia was "flooded" during a flood

In Buryatia, the village of Sotnikovo was cut off from the outside world during the flood. The courtyards of the houses were flooded during the melting of the snow.

According to local residents quoted by UlanMedia news agency, there is no drinking water in some houses, garages, boiler rooms and basements are flooded.

According to the regional branch of the Popular Front, a similar situation has been going on for two weeks. On March 25, a municipal emergency mode was introduced in the village.

The public activists sent an appeal to the prosecutor's office. They are asking for help in eliminating the consequences of the flood, and at the same time to check how the procedure for inspecting affected farms is followed and how compensation is calculated in emergency conditions.

Earlier it was reported that on Saturday, March 28, powerful floods began in many districts and cities of the North Caucasus. In particular, the cyclone left devastating consequences in Dagestan — hundreds of people were left without electricity, lost their homes and property.
