The Federation Council warned about a new scheme of scammers to deceive gamers

Scammers have developed and implemented a new scheme by which they deceive gamers, forcing them to install malware allegedly to receive unique bonuses in computer games. Senator Artem Sheikin warned about this on March 31.

"Channels and chats for fans of popular game projects are appearing in messengers. They offer something that always arouses the interest of a young audience: free modifications, unique improvements, accelerated character leveling and rare items. The organizers of such chats take the design seriously and do everything to avoid arousing suspicion," he told RIA Novosti.
