The DPRK continues to adhere to the strategic partnership agreement with Russia, signed by the leaders of the two countries in 2024, and supports efforts to strengthen a multipolar world. This was stated on March 31 by the Chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly (VNC, Parliament. — Ed.) North Korea's Cho Yong Won.
"The Workers' Party of Korea [WPK] and the government of the DPRK will remain faithful to the spirit and obligations under the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement with Russia, and will actively promote the formation of a multipolar world based on independence and justice," Cho Yong Won stressed at a meeting with Andrei Kondrashov, Director General of the TASS news agency.
He told Kondrashov about the results of the IX Congress of the WPK held in February and the first meeting of the 15th convocation of the National Assembly held in March.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko said on March 27 that North Korean leader Kim Jong-un's visit to Russia remains on the agenda. The dates of the visit will be agreed through diplomatic channels.
