Five new GOST standards will come into force in Russia from April
Five new GOST standards will come into force in Russia from April 1. The new standards will apply to manicures, white bread, potato chips, dog playgrounds, and asphalt roads.
In the case of GOST for chips, special attention will be paid to the mass fraction of fat in the product. Depending on the type, it should be no more than 35% or 45%.
"In addition, for the first time since 1986, a new GOST for white bread comes into force. In addition to clear requirements for product quality, it sets recommendations for shelf life: for packaged bread — up to 3 days, for unpackaged — up to 24 hours," RIA Novosti reports.
The standard for manicure services specifies that a classic manicure should be done for 45-60 minutes. First, the master will have to deal with the design of the free edge of the nails, as well as moisturizing the cuticle.
On March 30, Rosstandart also approved and put into effect an amendment to GOST, which establishes the types and sizes of state registration plates (GRZ). It contains a new type of room designed for personal mobility equipment (SIM), including electric scooters.
In addition, in July 2026, the GOST for common notebooks will come into force. The new standard defines uniform standards for the device, dimensions, connection methods, appearance and quality control of ordinary notebooks.
