Fines for taxis at public transport stops urged to be abolished
The system of fines for drivers of passenger taxis for boarding and disembarking passengers at public transport stops needs to be regulated. This opinion was addressed to the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation and the Moscow City Hall by State Duma Deputy Dmitry Gusev (Fair Russia Party) and Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans Affairs Yaroslav Nilov, RIA Novosti reported on March 31.
"We ask you to consider the possibility of: making amendments to regulatory legal acts clarifying the procedure for applying the 3.27 "Stop prohibited" sign, taking into account the exceptions already provided for; adjusting the algorithms of automatic means of detecting violations, taking into account the fact of a short—term stop of a passenger taxi for boarding and disembarking passengers," the deputies said in a statement.
