Uprdor Kavkaz has started preparing roads for flooding

The Department of Internal Affairs "Kavkaz" has started preparing the subordinate infrastructure for the spring flood. We are talking about nine regions, including Stavropol. There are 10 road sections with a total length of 10.8 km in the risk zone.

According to the press service of the organization, 59 brigades and 260 units of special equipment will be on duty on the roads. To eliminate the consequences of the flooding, almost 47.5 thousand cubic meters of inert materials and 67 cubic meters of lumber were harvested.

Bridge specialists also identified 26 low-water structures on the subordinate road network. Currently, the bridge beds are being cleared, the erosion of the supports is being eliminated, and snow and ice are being removed. Water-measuring rails are installed on bridges with permanent permanent watercourse for daily monitoring.

According to the StavropolMedia news agency, dispatchers from the Uprdor Kavkaz carry out round-the-clock monitoring of flood-prone areas. Cooperation has been established with the Ministry of Emergency Situations and regional hydrometeorological services.
