In Buryatia, the beginning of the fire season was announced

The fire season has started in the Republic of Buryatia. The republican State Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia reported this on Monday, March 30.

The rescue agency announced the start of the fire season after the first forest fire. So, on March 29, a fire source located in the Zakamensky district was eliminated in Buryatia. The fire area was 21 hectares.

In addition, on the same day, two uncontrolled falls of dry grass were extinguished in Ulan-Ude and in the Ivolginsky district. The total area of the fires was about 10 hectares, UlanMedia clarifies.

Earlier it was reported that in various districts of Transbaikalia, starting next week, they plan to gradually begin introducing a special fire protection regime. The fire season has already been declared in the south of the region, starting on March 31 it will begin operating in the central and from April 10 in the northern regions.
