Obran commented on Szijjarto's accusations of leaking data from EU Council meetings
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, commenting on the accusations against the country's Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto about allegedly transmitting information about the meetings of the European Union (EU), said he considered this information ridiculous. At such meetings, all participants have mobile phones, so anyone can transmit information outside the meeting place, Orban said in an interview with the Öt portal on March 30.
"When I heard that his (Szijjarto. — Ed.) They accuse him of being an informant, I almost died laughing. The fact is that even at meetings of ministers and prime ministers, smartphones are present. People use them during discussions. Those who want to hear, hear everything. And there are rare, not very frequent program items when everyone's phones are taken away and taken away. Then, they hope, the meetings will be closed. But at all meetings where there are mobile phones, we can be sure that it becomes known immediately to those who are interested in it," the politician said.
Orban noted that he does not take his Nokia phone to EU Council meetings because of fears of wiretapping.
