Construction of the second bypass road will start in Tyumen in 2026.
In Tyumen, in 2026, the implementation of a large—scale road project will begin - the construction of a second bypass road worth almost 20 billion rubles. The Main Directorate of Construction (GUS) of the Tyumen region announced this on its page on the VKontakte social network on Monday, March 30.
"A new, modern highway will become an alternative to the existing southern part of the Tyumen Ring Road. Thanks to this highway, a significant part of transit traffic will be redirected bypassing the regional center," said Valery Kiselyov, head of the department.
The length of the second ring will be 20 km, and it will include two transport interchanges. The commissioning of the facility will allow connecting three federal highways, Kiselyov noted.
According to the <url> news agency, the cost of the megaproject is 19.6 billion rubles. Initially, it was planned to start construction of the road in 2025, but the deadlines have shifted. It is planned to complete all the work within three years, by 2029.
