A man who saved a child in the Moscow region responded to an offer to become a godfather

A man named Alfred, who on March 30 caught a child falling out of a window in Lyubertsy, responded to the offer of the baby's mother to become his godfather.

"Of course, I am pleased with such words. It's worth a lot. After all, he was sitting in my arms and didn't get off even when Mom came running. I also got into this kid in a way. But I am a Muslim, so I will not be able to be a godfather, but I will be glad to become a close person," the man told RT.

The incident occurred on the same day in the village of Oktyabrsky. A two-year-old boy fell out of the window of an apartment on the second floor and ended up on the porch canopy.

An eyewitness who saw the child told Izvestia that the boy's mother did not appear for more than half an hour, while passers-by called the police and an ambulance, took off the baby and warmed it in the store.

A criminal case has been opened into the incident under Article 118 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Causing serious harm to health by negligence"). The child was not injured. The mother came only after the arrival of the emergency services.
