The prosecutor's office demanded to cancel the court's decision in the case of the murder of biker Kirill Kovalev in the Moscow district of Lyublino and send the case for a new trial. This was announced on March 30 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the courtroom.

In the appeal, the victims' side asked for the maximum sentences to be imposed on the defendants. In turn, the defense of the defendants asked to leave the verdict unchanged.

In November last year, the court released three defendants in the murder of a man because of a remark about parking in the Lyublino area, one of them was acquitted.

The murder of biker Kirill Kovalev took place on April 17, 2024 in Moscow on Krasnodarskaya Street. A 24-year-old motorcyclist made a remark to Shahin Abbasov, who parked his car on the sidewalk near the entrance of an apartment building. In response, he punched and kicked him multiple times on the body, and also stabbed him in the abdomen, after which he disappeared. The victim died in the hospital the next day. A criminal case was opened into the murder. The suspect was detained on April 19 in the Rostov region. He was caught along with two accomplices. Abbasov's father and friend were also detained.
