On March 28, the United States and Israel struck a civilian plane carrying humanitarian aid at Mashhad airport in western Iran. This was announced by the Civil Aviation Organization of the Islamic Republic.

"The Civil Aviation Organization strongly condemns the American-Zionist attack on an Iranian civilian plane carrying medicines and medical equipment for Iran from other countries, which landed at Mashhad airport," the Fars news agency reported.
