Countries that try to seize the Iranian islands in the Persian Gulf will have a direct road to hell. Iran's First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref warned about this on March 30.

The politician warned that the armed forces of the Islamic Republic intend to fully protect their borders from any enemy attack.

"Any aggressor who encroaches on Iran's territory, especially in the Persian Gulf and on the Iranian islands, will face a decisive, remorseful and irreversible response, and hell is the only final destination," the government's press service quoted him as saying in a Telegram channel.

The head of the White House, Donald Trump, said on March 29 that the United States could try to take control of the island of Kharq in Iran, through which a significant proportion of Iranian oil is exported. According to Trump, the capture of Kharq would mean that American military personnel would have to stay on the island for some time.

The commander of the Iranian army's ground forces, General Ali Jahanshahi, also warned on March 26 that a possible US ground operation in Iran would result in heavy losses for the Americans and would have irreversible consequences.
