Russia has transferred 313 tons of medicines and other humanitarian aid to Iran. This was announced on March 30 by the head of the Iranian Red Crescent Society, Pir Hossein Kolivand.

"This is Iraq, as well as Russia, from where 330 tons of medicines and other aid arrived," TASS quoted him as saying, citing the press service of the Iranian government.

He added that other supplies were from Tajikistan and China, as well as other countries.

Russia sent its last humanitarian cargo to Iran on March 12. 13 tons of medicines were transferred to the Republic in transit through Azerbaijan. The cargo will be delivered by IL-76 aircraft of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations. At the same time, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that Tehran had turned to friendly states, including Russia, for humanitarian assistance.
