The Leninsky District Court of St. Petersburg has sentenced a wedding dress thief guilty of 39 counts of fraud to four years of forced labor. This was reported to Izvestia in court on March 30.

The investigation found that the individual entrepreneur had posted an advertisement on the Internet about accepting second-hand wedding dresses for sale. The woman concluded commission agreements with clients and gave them commodity receipts.

Having received 45 wedding dresses with accessories, as well as money for pre-sale preparation, the defendant did not fulfill her obligations and disposed of the property at her discretion. The total amount of damage caused was more than 1.2 million rubles. She pleaded not guilty in court.
