The Honored Artist of Uzbekistan from the dynasty of tightrope walkers, Tashkent, has died.

The Honored Artist of Uzbekistan, an outstanding representative of the dynasty of tightrope walkers Alimzhan Tashkent died at the age of 81. This was announced on March 30 by the Ministry of Culture of the country.

"Famous Uzbek circus artist Alimzhan Tashkent has died at the age of 81," the Telegram channel said in a statement.

For many years, Tashkent has been the head of the Uzbek Tightrope Walkers team. Under his leadership, the band successfully toured all over the world, presenting national art in Germany, Egypt, Belgium, Argentina, Colombia and other countries.

Since 2006, the artist has held the position of director in the Uzbektsirk association and taught at the variety and circus college.
