A new trailer for the action-packed film "The Abyss" has been released
The film companies Art Pictures Studio and Vodorod, the Commercial Fund for the Development of Cinema and Animation (KFRKA) and the distributor NMG Kinoprokat (part of the National Media Group holding), with the support of the Cinema Foundation, present the main trailer for the thriller "The Abyss" starring Tina Stoilkovich ("Moscow does not believe in tears. Everything is just beginning"), Mark Eidelstein ("Anora", "One Hundred years ahead") and Stepan Belozerov ("Ice 3", "Pinocchio") in the main roles.
Vladimir Batrameev ("Dangerous Intimacy", "Living Life") and Alina Tyazhlova ("Pinocchio") wrote the script for an exciting story about love, choice and survival on the edge of the possible with the participation of Savva Minaev ("Plevako"), and the film was directed by Alexei Ionov, a graduate of the Free Cinema film School.
A new film from the creators of the "Ice" trilogy and the adventure drama "Lord of the Wind" will be released on May 28, 2026.
In the story, Dasha (Tina Stojilkovic) and Sasha (Mark Edelstein) are happy newlyweds. A honeymoon and a parachute jump over the foothills of Mount Elbrus should be the beginning of their new life. But fate makes its own adjustments. The pilot turns out to be Artyom (Stepan Belozerov), Dasha's ex, whom she didn't even want to remember. When a plane crashes, the three of them have to jump without preparation. The slings get tangled. They miraculously stay alive — but find themselves suspended over a mountain precipice in the midst of raging forest fires. Dasha finds herself between two men, with each of whom her life is connected. One is the present. The other is the unhealed past. Will everyone be able to return home?
This question will keep the audience in suspense until the very end. "The Abyss" is not just a survival thriller. This is an emotional story about how extreme circumstances reveal the true essence of human relationships, forcing the characters to make a choice between the past and the future, between fear and love.
